I had two surgeries from the doctor: The first one I made a mistake and got coerced to get masseter reduction along with my original intent, genioplasty, to correct botched chin implant work I had from another surgeon. Fast forward, I developed issues such as lack of width, loose skin due to surgical reduction of my masseters and chin looked mushy and asymmetric, as well as this nagging pain in my neck that I’ve had since the reduction right by the jaw angle on my right side. However, to the doctors credit the sharpness of the jawline was enhanced and side profile looked good. Due to my dissatisfaction with front profile, I was quite emotional, and got revision with the doctor and while my chin looked better and more symmetric my facial proportions weren’t great as my face was made shorter and I subsequently looked fatter and I got various comments on that especially once the swelling subsided, since the doctor reduced my chin 3mm and pushed it upward, which made my face vertically shorter and fatter and also highlighted the loose skin as I no longer had the jawline support; I still wanted a good jawline as that was the whole point of me getting a genioplasty in the first place! This all prompted me to then get facial jaw implants and buccal fat removal from another surgeon but luckily the implants been removed (thanks to Dr Takahashi advice, so I do thank him for that) but my face just been traumatized by subsequent bad surgeries. I just feel Dr Takahashi and I weren’t fully in resonance and albeit the doctor is a nice doctor, I want to iterate that, the first surgery with him should have been my last as I was looking just to fix my chin, as I liked my face previously and often got complimented on it beforehand. In the end sacrificed a lot of money and time to ultimately looks worse. Update: Saw the Doctor replied, perhaps coercing is the wrong word. No one forced me do to anything but he did strongly recommend me about the masseter reduction at the last minute, I trusted his expertise. And the surgery afterwards have been trying to fix that plus the other subsequent negative aesthetic side-effects. In the end, life is not about looks, but it is just sad when one pays so much just to progressively look worse. Also Dr Takahashi charged me more than most patients based on his genioplasty specials, and what other patients paid based on real self reviews, and one of this patient was a chin revision case. Perhaps because I’m a foreigner or something, I don’t really know. Anyways, thats all I have to say.
