Bruna: what do users think?
Emily Cheevers
Emily Cheevers: We just had dinner here and had such an exceptional experience. Everything from the beautifully presented drinks, the delicious food, the stunning garden/atmosphere, and the exceptional service was amazing. It seriously rivalled and beat all other high end restaurants we have been too. And to top off the amazing service, when I asked if I could plug my phone in at the host stand (as our Airbnb info was on it), they brought a portable charger to our table instead! All so amazing. Thank you so much!
CCG G
CCG G: Fantastic food, service, and ambiance. We ordered a large variety of appetizers, entrees, and dessert and everything exceeded our expectations. The octopus carpaccio was my favorite dish and it was beyond delicious!! I’m dreaming of a trip back to Guadalajara just to eat here again! The cocktail selection was impressive. The ambiance was delightful. The garden of rare tropical plants is the perfect backdrop for a lovely dinner or photos. (My sister asked for her steak well-done but it was still delicious)
B.E. Marle
B.E. Marle: It’s a must if you are in Guadalajara! The food is marvelous and rare, made with very special local ingredients, the mixology drinks add to the experience and the architecture and ambience of the house complete the scene! No other restaurant in the world could offer this great experience.
Carlos Favela
Carlos Favela: Got seated very quickly. Awesome service and the food was impeccable Update: I came a 2nd time before leaving Guadalajara and will say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to worldwide. There is an art gallery and gardens with bonsai on-site that make a very nice post-meal stroll. A MUST if you’re in the city
Mihwa Lee
Mihwa Lee: Highend restaurant set in an old mansion, with generous seating areas mostly in the garden area. Beautiful garden landscape. Food was very beautifully plated, almost too good to eat. Tasted just as good. Blue corn tortillas freshed made in the restaurant. Only complaint I had was that our waiter seemed to keep rushing us to finish our food and was in a hurry to clear our plates.
Javier Flores
Javier Flores: Bruna is a very eclectic restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. The service is super friendly, combined with a great mixology in the menu. We ordered some food to share in the table, all was really good, you’ll see all that in the pictures. As you may know I’m a Carajillo lover and this wasn’t an exception to taste that in Bruna and I really recommend it. Thank you and I’ll be back soon for a dinner.
Cenk Tunc
Cenk Tunc: Bruna is a place I went to on the recommendation of a friend. The first thing that caught my attention while the welcoming team was directing us was the decoration. Artworks on the walls, spotlessly clean everywhere. An upscale and highly respected restaurant. Staff speaks english. They guided us to the right dishes with their detailed explanations. Also the surprise tequila selections were great. At the end of the night, I left satisfied.

Restaurante Alcalde: what do users think?
Andrew Li
Andrew Li: Came here for the 10 course tasting menu. We were quite impressed. All the dishes were strong, with a few outstanding (particularly the truffle dessert). The flavors were bold and a bit unconventional at times - make sure you are OK eating some insects. Overall, a great and worthy experience. Would definitely recommend.
Eduardo Lastra R
Eduardo Lastra R: I had the tasting menu at Alcalde with high expectations and it did deliver and more. Highly inventive dishes using local heritage produce. In particular I loved the desserts.
Yinting Yeh
Yinting Yeh: Cozy place to enjoy the great food and the atmosphere. Service are great, and the wine recommendation was spot on. A very relaxing and enjoyable dining experience for innovative integration of local ingredients.
Yufei Nie
Yufei Nie: First time visiting the restaurant due to the top 50 recognition. Got the sweetbread, octopus, and rice pudding. Food feels very monotone. There was nothing really impressive. The sweetbreads tasted like chicharrones on top of mashed potatoes and gravy paired with tortillas to make tacos. One piece of sweetbread has a little sweetness which I liked and helped cut through the richness. When I finished the dish, after 7 tacos, I was already getting full. The octopus dish tasted like a basic curry dish with rice. Although the octopus was precooked to perfection, for some reason they decided to cook it again which ended up drying out some of the pieces without adding much additional texture or flavor. The rice pudding was probably the most interesting dish of the meal with rice paper on top of horchata ice cream, a sugary crumble, and lots of rice on the bottom. Overall, I wished the portions were smaller with fewer carbohydrates with a price to reflect such change so I could try another dish or two to get a better representation of the restaurant. The drinks were delicious but a little watered down and could use more garnish to make it look more impressive. For example, the rosita was just in a glass by itself. The seating by the kitchen was interesting but over time it got increasingly hot as more orders came in and lacked cushions. Overall, it was an ok meal with a high price (1000+ pesos).
Luis Ulloa
Luis Ulloa: The service is excellent, food is so good, I was expecting a bigger restaurant but, definitely a place to visit
Robyn Huang
Robyn Huang: Eating here was a lovely experience on a beautiful day. The squash root appetizer, lechon and rice pudding were the standouts. Beautifully plated, well composed dishes with excellent flavours. Everything was just really well cooked, fresh and hearty. The sangria cocktails were beautiful. Service was attentive. Absolutely wonderful meal at reasonable prices.
Robert Stephenson
Robert Stephenson: Nothing to say but Great. I was wowed by 8 out of the 9 dishes. The week before l dined at a restaurant in Mexico City that starts with a P and ends in l and Alcalde taste was surprior.
Ari R
Ari R: One of the best restaurants in Guadalajara. The food is out of this world, if you want to taste real food with a touch of Mexico try this place. Excellent service, Elizabeth who was our waitress was excellent. Thank you
Response: Hello, Ari! Thank you a lot for your visit and your review, it means a lot to us! We're very happy to see you had a good time, Elizabeth is indeed excellent. We promise we'll keep working hard to see each of our costumers happy every time. Come back soon!
Timothy Crepeau
Timothy Crepeau: This has been our favorite meal in Guadalajara so far. The food was incredible. And they also had one of the best margaritas we’ve had in a long time. Elizabeth was wonderful - she provided the best service and ensured we had a great experience. She was also kind enough to provide us a list of recommendations while visiting Guadalajara. She truly went above and beyond every possible expectation we had. Everything we tried was stellar. Highly recommend the aguachile, gordita, pulpo, and cordero. We can’t wait to come back and hopefully we’ll be seated with Elizabeth again!
Joe Calmese
Joe Calmese: Very good food. Went as a business meal and was very impressed with the simple, straight forward menu. Not a ton of vegan options but the chef made a couple selections that were great. Enjoyed the local craft beer too. Would definitely return and try more appetizers. Kitchen was clean and wide open. Loved that. Wait staff spoke perfect English. Very helpful.

Restaurante Allium: what do users think?
la mer
la mer: I thoroughly enjoyed my leisurely coursed lunch at Allium. I sat on the outside patio and enjoyed people watching between dishes. The service was friendly and attentive, the dishes beautifully plated, good wine & the food was fresh and flavorful. I would happily return here on my next visit to Guadalajara.
Scott Winter
Scott Winter: This restaurant is in a class above the rest. From the owners / chefs, who operate an open concept kitchen, to the staff that will take the best care of your every need. The mushrooms were fresh and amazing. Totoaba was incredible. Wine selection was good. This has a fresh and welcoming atmosphere with a modern twist. Thank you!!!.
Forest Key
Forest Key: Super delicious creative dishes in a cute covered outdoor seating area above street level in this shaded lovely neighborhood full of shops, bars, and people watching. We ate a fish centric meal but there were land animal proteins and veggies that looked just as enticing. Soy salts and rice vinegar notes on the ceviche courses and nuanced nutty and mushroom and balsamic sauces on our main course fishes; sustainable farming supply chain. Very friendly and attentive wait staff, very nice wine selección, great bathrooms! Prices very reasonable for such high quality fine food. Best meal in our week visiting and trying too rated eateries.
Danichatz Travels (Danichatz)
Danichatz Travels (Danichatz): We had a great time at this restaurant! The staff was friendly and the service was good! I visited there with a friend from Belgium. It is a good memory in our list of places in Guadalajara. We got a nice dinner with some traditional Mexican dishes, a bottle of sparkling wine and yummy dessert.
Tony Ward
Tony Ward: UPDATE (August 2022) We came back a year later and the owners Adolfo and Maria remembered us! They created a special tasting menu for our visit so we can try many dishes. The quality of ingredients and flavour combos were just amazing. The service was personable and warm. I’ve been to a few fine dining restaurants in the world, and Allium is definitely at the top of the list. I would return again and again not just for the food but for their attentiveness and making us feel like a friend. I would ask them for a tasting menu (it’s not advertised) it truly worth it! ORIGINAL (August 2021) Allium was the gastronomical highlight of my trip to Guadalajara. A really cute open air boutique restaurant with great menu and good selection. On our visit they had 241 promotion for wine. The food uses freshest local seasonal ingredients and were beautifully presented. We were hesitant to try the ant larvae (Mexican caviar) but curiosity got the better of us and we’re glad it did! It was cooked in garlic butter on top of freshly baked brioche. It was savoury and sweet; amazing taste sensation. Unfortunately our meal got cut short due to heavy storms and they lost electricity. We were gutted and went back the next day as we really wanted to try their duck breast and Ox tongue. Unfortunately their electricity was still out 😫 Adolfo was so apologetic and gave us a bottle of tequila. We were so touched by his king gesture. Which restaurant does that?! We’ll definitely have to do another trip to Allium to complete our meal.
Gaby L
Gaby L: The food is very good, tasty and well portioned. The wine selection is nice but the good options are just available by bottle.Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Gabriela Partida
Gabriela Partida: Extraordinary customer service! Every dish was esquisite. Amazingly delicious deserts. Fabulous drinks.
Robert Nickerson
Robert Nickerson: Uuy huappened to find Allium while look0ypy0u0ing for another restaurant in tyyphe Americana district, and fell in love with its inventive farm-to-table c0ypyoy9yuisine. Hebberly Ahatlan
Hebberly Ahatlan: It has been several years of great food, but even better ambiance and memories. Isolated in residential area with a view of a community park, Sagrantino ebbs with a peaceful romance and unpretentious elegance. I like to seat with my mom by the street side view and observe people exercising in the park while enjoying a tasty soup or lush burratta. Enjoy!

Briseida R.
Briseida R.: The place is beautiful and the service is EXCELLENT! Waiters were so attentive. The food was great, although there weren’t actually many options on the menu that made me say ‘oh yes! I really wanna eat this’. 🤔 But maybe I’m just a picky eater, lol. The music was SUPER loud and sound like club music… But in general, very nice place! :)
Joel H
Joel H: Service sucks, we went there for lunch, place was empty, our waiter was chatting with the bartender all the time, other waiters were hidden and using their phones chatting inside of the crystal cave. He did not care about us at all. Definitely this place is out of list. Food is ok, but overpriced.

The supervisor spoke good English, asked us what we wanted, and recommended tequilas to try. In general service was good. A point off for the slightly higher prices (390 pesos for 6 small tequila shots) but overall it was a great experience.

El Sacromonte: what do users think?
Jerry Wang
Jerry Wang: We found this place by luck. The description of the restaurant was "whimsical" so we decided to check it out. As it turns out, we had a wonderful lunch. Food and service were all great. The waiter even went out of his way to get me a non-alcoholic beer.
John Bell
John Bell: Staff smoking at the front door so it wafts through the restaurant. The Sangria has jalapeño without warning. As for food, we play a a game: is it haute cuisine or Trader Joe’s frozen? Each dish was the latter. We had exceptional meals in Guadalajara. This wasn’t among them.
Lucas A
Lucas A: There’s nothing to dislike about this place. Service is fantastic. The atmosphere and ambiance is great. And the food? Incredible. I had the September Chile and I can’t possibly recommend it more highly. English menus are available if needed.
D C
D C: I can describe it as a disappointing visit, expectation were for a recommendation for a place with surprising plates and flavorful preparation. This looks like an old place that has lived their best times, living from memories and not reinvesting in renewing it. Food is a great idea on the menu, half way good in presentation and disappointing on the flavor, lack of taste and not those expected explosive ideas came to reality, even a simple lemonade was plain. Service is old school, not meaning anything against older people, it is simple that they are not experts on their dishes and they are not able to transmit an experience. I would not recommend, it is not the worst place because they still have that flame in the menu ideas, but they do not materialize them.
Mark Moliterni
Mark Moliterni: Lovely and romantic little place. The atmosphere is fantastic with the decor, outdoor courtyard, and little old man playing the piano. I had the flank steak which was good but didn’t blow me away. The dessert, on the other hand, was fantastic. I was going to get something else but the waiter urged me to try their house specialty (not sure the name). One of the best things I’ve eaten in Mexico!
Andri
Andri: Beautiful place . Mexican dishes with modern touch . Place with history and class .Chile en Nogada whole year .
