Cynthia Lo: I wish I could give them -5 stars!! This place was not doing their due diligence and unfortunately because of their fault our beloved grandmother passed. If you do have family at this hospital be extra careful and pay attention to everything they do to your loved ones. Ask questions and be on them because the staff clearly doesn’t care. We don’t want what happened to our grandmother to happen to your loved ones

Marco Cruz: Went in to get an abscess removed on three different visits. I was scheduled at 10am but the room wasn't available until 8pm. Told to wait. I luckily asked for a written cost estimate and was told 58,000 PESOS (not including blood work, ultrasound and "hospital fees"). I said "no" and before I left, I paid the receptionist the 2,000 peso consult fee which she strangely handed over to one of the doctors. I never got a receipt for the two times that I paid. I went down the street and had the abscess removed for 2,000 pesos. BE SURE TO GET A WRITTEN COST ESTIMATE BEFORE ANY PROCEDURE. GO ELSEWHERE- THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! 30x more than the competition. Shady billing, accounting, payment, no receipts and handing cash to doctors?

Evan Dorn: I got really bad food poisoning from a Sam's rotisserie chicken of all things which unfortunately resulted in a trip to the ER and overnight stay in the hospital. The attention at San Javier was very good and I'd say the prices were fair for the services rendered. Larry Jinkins: This hospital is one of 3 San Javier hospitals. The other two are in Marina Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta - and these two are under the same administration. I made a large deposit when I was admitted to the Nuevo Vallarta hospital on Dec. 1, 2015 with the understanding that the deposit would be reimbursed once my insurance paid the bill. In January my insurance company informed me that it had paid my entire bill back in December except for 3 meals that my wife had ate at the hospital, and that I should receive my deposit reimbursement back from the hospital soon. On Feb. 8, Feb. 9, and Mar. 3 - my insurance company and I contacted three hospital staff, including the supervisor for International Insurance, who all reported that yes, the insurance had paid my bill minus the 3 meals, and that yes, I would be reimbursed in "about a week." It is now April 22, 2016 and I have not received the reimbursement. Surprisingly, no one at the hospital has had the courtesy to contact me to explain the delay while I have spent $170 US telephoning the hospital. I have subsequently learned of others who have had the same reimbursement problem at these two hospitals. So while I do not know of the quality of the administrative procedures at the San Javier Guadalajara Hospital regarding reimbursements, the fact that 2 of the 3 San Javier hospitals have a reimbursement problem means that international travelers should beware.

ISRAEL B: Well in my personal opinion and based on the experience lived there are good and bad points, but they are more bad. My wife was hospitalized for 3 days and there were several things that caused discomfort. To begin with, the room assigned to him, which is 226, did not have a telephone or a bell to call the nurses' station, the TV did not have the cable connected, the rainwater got into the bathroom and the entrance door did not close I had to put a piece of roll on it to tear it off and even so when they entered they threw it and left the door open without having privacy in the room. The gynecologist asked for some emergency tests, that was around 2:00 pm and they were not done until the next day because they had forgotten and that they were urgent, they were given a dinner that according to them is served at 7:00 pm and they brought him the food at 10:30 pm and that's because I went to tell them that they hadn't brought him dinner. The toilet in the room also passed them several times until one goes out to ask for the papers to be removed from the jars. On Saturday night the floor manager was arrogant saying that if she did not finish the food before 7:30 the tray was no longer removed until the next day and they are rudely careless, they served her melon 3 times and I had already commented to them that she is allergic but as it is worth to them and she came out with the stupidity that my wife did not tell them that she was allergic when asked but the staff only asked to which drug she is allergic to be more specific with their questions and more pay attention to those who are indicated, I say if it were a diabetic patient I do not imagine how it would be. But yes, they want to charge you even for the air you breathe as if it were a first-rate hospital without the owners giving you their face with regard to complaints and attention. Do not come up with your answers that everything was taken care of and that they are first class or that one tells lies, personally look for another option. The bill was paid in full and I'm still waiting for my bill to see if they don't forget that too.

If you dial by phone, they ask you to call a number, where they do the same to you. And if you send WhatsApp to that number they leave you in seen. The money was lost. 🤬

Christine Alvarez: This was a surprising experience, it was life or death for us. They treated us well once they realized we could pay. If you don't pay up frount. They will treat you as here in the US. Is no different we were told to go home & pass once the insurance was not paying. So we went there where 4 months later the person given 20 days to live, was on her way back to US in good health. & a year later is in good health. We thank them for saving her life. But yes if you don't have $ no where in this world will help you. Everything is bases on it Sadly to say. Other than that we had great Doctors specialist. Labs were quick,not 2 weeks later. They did emergency surgery. But yes In Mexico you need someone with you constantly. As your bed nurse. In U.S they don't want anyone there, which leads to bad service. In my experiences.

My wife stated that surely this procedure had a set cost because it is performed by their facility often and he said no that he had to see what the costs would be. Our first in person conversation was Thursday (Dec 1, 2022) with Dr. Eduardo and to this date (Dec 6, 2022) with no response despite a call on Friday when the receptionist informed us that I would receive cost information on Monday, December 5, 2022. Not sure why all this is happening as costs should be fixed for procedures that are by a facility.

McKenna Erickson: Last year, I scheduled a tonsillectomy at this hospital with the surgeon Juan Gustavo Carillo Partida. I got it done here because I was already traveling to Mexico and it was too expensive of a surgery to get in the US. They took great care of me at the hospital and the procedure went smoothly. I stayed the night there to be monitored and they checked on me a few times. The night after I was discharged, I had so much phlegm building up in the throat and went back to the hospital and got a shot that helped alleviate that feeling. Dr. Gustavo was a great communicator and was helpful in coordinating the surgery. The doctor was clear with his instructions and patient with my Spanish since I'm not fully fluent. Thank you!

Santiago Zamora: Doctor Sony is a surgeon without any professional ethics, he is a fraud surgeon. Gopinath R: Yesterday visited Hospital Ramon Garibay , Urgency care at 11 pm for an allergic issue. Doctors Baleria and Abraham attended my case. I was in panic state. Doctors made me comfortable, understood the problem and diagnosed. Proper treatment given and asked me to rest for sometime. During the entire process they were really kind and attentive. I was alright in 15 min, paid at the counter and left the hospital at 11:45pm. Thanks Dr Senora Baleria and Dr Senor Abraham for your kind attention and treatment. A closing note: The charge is very nominal. Would highly recommend! Hospital Ramon Garibay has very good Doctors !

Susana Diaz: Bad attention. No ethics!! We had a terrible experience, my mother is an elderly person, she made an appointment with the Rheumatologist Arnulfo Hernán Nava Zavala, she told her assistant who said her name was Mayte Gutiérrez that they came from out of town, that if it was a fact the attention, to which he said that if, since they were not treated by said doctor, he planted them, he kept them waiting for 2 hours!! In addition to the fact that the receptionist mistreated my mother, saying that if she wanted to go, she should do so, that the doctor was a teacher and that he did not have her time! Attention patients do not attend that hospital and less with that doctor!! Lacking in ethics and empathy.

leonor martinez: I can say that I have been going to inject myself for years, and the cashiers are always despots, they have a face but more than IMSS, they take me a long time to collect, and today, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 2:22 p.m. I went through a horrible experience, the The nurse was rude, she didn't even greet me, she kept complaining that she had just arrived for the shift and she already had to give me an injection that they wouldn't even let her settle in, she made me wait 10 minutes plus another ten minutes that I already had waiting, plus another ten minutes because the cashier wasn't at her post and she came just to give me another face just like the nurse's, and for a simple injection they charge 45.54, and there's no problem, but with those methods I'd better go to Dr Simi now... terrible very unfortunate that hospital, they should train ... so that they give a good service without making big faces

F. Hdez.: I dare to say it AWFUL SERVICE. in vdd do not fall. I went with the Ophthalmologist dial. Carlos Zamora. A misery of service. They came to me late, he attended me for at most 5 minutes for $400.00 pesos, and apart from that he was caught with offenses. Everyone makes their decision. But in my recommendation DO NOT GO.

Cinthy Alejo: I had my mother hospitalized there twice the first time the treatment and good attention the last time left much to be desired we arrived at night and they did not provide us with the basic things for a stay, soap, slippers for the sick person, no water. Recommendation check well when paying check and review what they are charging you. My last recommendation if you are an average person who does not have a fortune, believe me, it is better to go to the civilians, my mother lasted there for a week, after many studies, they never gave me a specific diagnosis and her health deteriorated. My savings were gone and today I am in civilian life with a diagnosis. Unfortunately, in our country, health and business are a luxury. Ana Gomez: Very little professionalism, let my mom in at night, because her platelets were low and the serum was not put in the vein but outside, so at dawn she woke up with a pool of blood and her hand swollen, besides the bed he had a hole and he couldn't sleep, and instead of changing his bed they just gave him a chair so he could stay there. They also said that they would discharge her because she had recovered and there was no one to sign her discharge, so we had after several hours waiting to sign the voluntary discharge. Terrible service from the nurses, they ignored us, they did not attend to my mother when we asked them to.

Dr. Rubén Cruz Revilla: Very bad experience when we had to be there, they wanted to charge us for more than 10 studies that had not been taken, only because we checked in the end we were able to claim, they wanted to put a dose of paracetamol that was toxic, just because we realized it, we did not got, the doctor spent 3 minutes all in a hurry.

Estella Trudeau: I have had two c-sections here now with Dr. Raymundo. Hes a great Dr and was very respectful of my wishes. What surprised me the most was the price with my second surgery. It was nearly double the cost and only a year later. I purchased the "package" directly through the hospital, thinking that all of the nessicities were included, thats not the case. One example was the tights that they put on you so your veins wont explode, that seems like a nessicity, but not included in the package. We were quoted 16,900 pesos and walked out paying 23,000 pesos. So just be prepared to pay for EVERYTHING. The staff was very attentive and friendly, they did a great job explaining everything and answering any questions that i had. The facility its self could have been better. The AC in the room was not working and there was no hot water (my biggest pet peeve!). We reported both and they were fixed in a timely manner. All in all not a negative experience, but im not sure that i would go back again.

Jorge “Yorsh”: In my experience I do not recommend it, the nurses did not check correctly in the shift that corresponded to my wife who gave birth, you asked for help because she had complications and they made you feel that everything was fine and that they would come around (after 1 hour) my wife was about to die for these negligence. I am not exaggerating, it was really complicated, it should be noted that they did take very good care of her once they realized that my wife was not well at all and there were good doctors and one whose name I did not know but was the one who saved her. Even so, for what I paid, the attention should have been much better than what I received. We didn't want to go back. They are within their right to choose.
