Andrea Lotsu: If there was one word that I could use to describe Jorge Romero, it would be EXCEPTIONAL! From our very first meeting with him he exuded a humbleness and genuine aura that most people in his profession do not. After deciding on our wedding destination, we reached out to Jorge to see if he could take some engagement pictures for us. Mind you, this request was made less than 2 weeks before our arrival in Mexico and he somehow was able to rearrange his schedule to accommodate our request. What was even more amazing about Jorge, was that he and his assistant drove 4 hours to come and meet us at our resort. From there he took us to different locale around the city where his artistic eye took over and he captured the most amazing pictures that we had ever seen. We took a picture surrounded by pigeons, a picture beside a dumpster (trust me it was great), a picture on the steps of a church, a picture on the steps of the beach with the waves crashing beside us, and a picture on the Puerto Vallarta streets as a city bus drove by. To this day, the city bus picture has garnered the most likes amongst our friends and family. At the end of our session, we paid him a portion of his fees, as we had agreed upon, in our contract. We were so impressed with him, that we also decided to give him a little extra. Shockingly, he did not want to accept the extra and said that it was too much. We were so touched by this because for someone to turn down a tip and say that you had paid him too much, was not anything that we had ever experienced with anyone. At the end of the night he packed up his photography gear and drove the 4 hours back home and we did not see him until the day of our wedding one year later. He is one of the most humble human beings that we have ever met, and he has a heart as good as gold. I cannot put it into words how Jorge has an “eye” for his craft that will amaze anyone who entrusts him with any of your photography wishes. The day of our wedding Jorge and his team arrived at our hotel a few hours before the wedding. He was able to capture priceless moments of us, the bride and groom, as well as our bridesmaids and groomsmen, getting ready in our respective rooms. He also took candid and flawless “first look” pictures of us before the actual ceremony. I can honestly say that EVERY picture of that day told a story. Jorge and his team took pictures, that we were even unaware of, that bring tears to my eyes in the way that he turned a picture of families and friends, into a love story that a laymen person will get chills about. Recently, we received our wedding album that included a USB of the pictures, a CD with the pictures, and everything was packaged into an elegant wood box with our names engraved on it. His professionalism, care, and respect for his work extended to his delivery of these items. He is an artistic genius whose name the world will know sooner than you realize. Our relationship began as a client/service provider in nature, but it has blossomed into a true friendship. Every year that we travel to Mexico we will make time to see him, catch up on life, and just share with him on how amazing of a day that he made our wedding. The memories that he captured will live on for many years to come and we look forward to having him capture other life’s moments in the years to come.
