The Coffee Legacy: what do users think?

John K: One of my favorite coffee places in that area (Chapultepec Ave.) which is loaded with bars, restaurants and cafes. A perfect place to watch the locals walk by while you enjoy their high end coffee and bakery, it transforms into a restaurant and bar throughout the day. This antique house was transformed into a perfect hang out and viewing place for any time of the day.

Amir Zahir: Super place to have meetings, very great beer, amazing coffee! Price range is ok! Place is amazing comfortable very low music to chat or even play house games. Bathrooms clean Waiter’s are always a hazle but the come thru eventually. Never bring you the correct order at first but they do try their best!

Kambiz Motamedi: We had press coffee and carrot cake. We also bought some grinded coffee to go. They roast their own coffee in the shop. Great service and friendly staff.

mithun salian: Some may say that the best coffee in Guadalajara is at El terrible Juan (10 minutes walking from here) but I firmly believe that this place has better coffee and some really good food.. Pictured here is the chilaquiles con arrachera which in my opinion has the best chilaquiles sauce among all the places I have eaten chilaquiles. Barista guy is a pleasant and friendly guy who is more than happy to dispense any trade knowledge if you want to know.

Jae Lee: Great classical decor , music jazz.Missing comfortable seats and lounge style furniture. The seating is more like a restaurant, not a hangout cafe.

Alicia Mata: Decoration and coffee is nice. My chicken burrito was not great

Diana Albertson: We love this place!!! The service is impeccable, the lattes are an experience with art, the venue is very industrial "hip" and the pancakes with ice cream and whipped cream is the best we have ever had. Better than any of the local pancake houses. They make a berry sauce that is chef worthy and berries are their thing. Go!!

Isabel Torres: Great breakfast options and amazing coffee!

Timo Scott: Incredible food and coffee! I had the chemex honey coffee and chilaquiles breakfast. Both were amazing. My wife had the mazapan latte and the terrible bacon cheese sandwich, which was soooo good I wished I had ordered it! I also had a whole milk latte. It was perfect. Will definitely be back again!

Marcos Chavez: The drinks are Delicious so is the food. I had the iced Mazapan Latte and the Terrible Bacon Cheese Sandwich. So good. The prices are good you will be stuffed with the portions. Come by and check it out. Parking: Just park outside on the street. Plenty of space.

Tiffany Moonsammy: I had a burger at this cafe and it was a terrible juan 😂 in all honestly it is a tourist trap, digital nomads love this place but I believe that there are many other cafes that in my opinion are better, in terms of quality of food and price. Alot of time you have to line up to get table and then the staff aren’t very friendly and flexible. I give this restaurant 3 stars because it has decent wifi and you can sit there for a while if you can get past the fact that the staff will keep asking if you want something else every hour. The food is mediocre
Response: We are sorry that you didn't enjoy the food, you just need to ask the staff to change It and they'll do It. Our dishes are made with the best quality ingredients. Certainly if you are looking to stay all day using the wifi, is not the place.

Juliet for OnlyOnwards: This place is fantastic! Only for the hard core meat eaters! They have great burgers & sandwiches . I went for the terrible sandwich with cheese (it was a tough choice between sandwich brutal, which is just super meaty - I love the names, haha). Not sure who Terrible Jose was but his terrible sandwiches are terrific! The girls who work here are super lovely too! Totally recommended. Oh! They have a bakery too with great patisserie & coffee!

Ben Steyn: All the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and it was a difficult decision to make. Settled for the Terrible Bacon Cheese Sandwich and it didn’t disappoint! Friendly service and a nice atmosphere, highly recommended!

Coco C: I love coffee, and this place has a good assortment of hot and cold coffees. Food is fresh and so delicious.

Nick Sayers: Perfect coffee and great staff. The food looks amazing as well. I had a biscuit that came with delicious jam and whipped butter. The atmosphere is great too. Surrounded by plants and vines.

Maribel Coyotl: I came here after my flight ... Their coffee is good.Their food has good flavor. The service is friendly and very attentive.

Kathy McLeod: We love this location. Lots of seating inside and outsideFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Chloe Duho: Good service, good starbucks, the waiters are listening to your requests, I really enjoy going there, I recommend.

Perçin Imrek: Spacious place with good wifi connection.

Patrick Sheil: Pretty dirty and run down. Nice that it has air conditioning but someone needs to be cleaning and maintaining this place more often.

Rody: As usual with Starbucks, taste is great. They’re very efficient too, I’ve never had to wait more than 3 minutes for my coffee to be ready. Finding a place to park nearby is not very easy once it gets dark though. That said, Chapultepec is a nice walk anyway.

Kathy McLeod: The servers were very unfriendly. It is unfortunate because we read some good reviews and we walked 3 kms in the rain to try this place. We were soaked when we got there. The place was empty except for the workers. We were not welcomed. In fact, they made us feel like we were interrupting their day. The coffee was ok. We also tried muffin/croissant. It was good. It is not worth going out of your way to visit this place. There is a washroom there. There is inside and outside seating. The outside seating is not usable when it is raining.
Response: Hello Kathy, we are sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations. We hope you can visit us again to change your point of view!

Goddess Magnolya: Herbal té grande was comforting, lovely. No order issues. Our experience lacked a welcome vibe, sadly.

Joel G. Morales: This is a dream snail coffee shop in the nice neighborhood of Guadalajara. The Colonia is Americana.

Julia Casillas: Cute spot that has unfortunately gone down hill in it’s quality of offerings. They used to offer a nice Matcha and have now opted for the sugary stand-in. While the staff is welcoming they aren’t sensitive to dietary restrictions. Could have easily changed my drink for something I could consume but opted not to. Many other options with better customer service.

Tangerine Travels: Our breakfast was delicious and fresh. Great service too. We will definitely come back again!

Katie V.S: I came here for the first time in July of 2021 and here is my feedback of this location. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and the server attentive. I ordered a capuccino and a panini called “En punto”. The coffee and the panini with a delicious salad was really tasty. If you ever travel to Guadalajara, please don’t hesitate to visit this place for a quick stop or to just sit around and enjoy a nice meal. You probably will wish to buy another coffee before you leave the town. Don’t take it from me, try it yourself, you won’t regret!
Response: Your review means a lot to us and makes us see that we are on the right track! Thanks a lot!

AD GA: Great lunch spot. Food is nice and staff is friendly, very slow at times tho. 40 mins for breakfast

crystal li: Beautiful space and delicious cacao

Kevin Kang: Straightforward good coffee, cozy ambiance, no bs - best coffee in Centro area!

tommy height: Good coffee, one of the rare café opening at 8AM. As most café open at 9am in the hood. Classical music and comfortable couch. Great place to read or work!

Holly Bennett: Nice little spot, they have a Book exchange which is great if you are English speaking and can’t find any books in the city!

louis yagera: I like the relaxed atmosphere of this café

Austin Robinson: Excellent Turkish / Italian style coffee with staff that are trained to make espresso the REAL way!!! :) Good vibes. Recommended.

Jeff Bridges: Delicious made from scratch food and coffee! They were very nice and understanding about my horrible español. Highly recommend!

Ruben V: Great alternative to the regular food stuff you find in the area.

Miguel Ochoa Hernández: Amazing coffee and outstanding food!It has good wifi, it’s clean, has some electric sockets indoors to connect chargers, the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you enjoy and appreciate a good cup of coffee this is your place to come

Sharon Stavroff: The food is prepared with quality ingredients, and presented beautifully. The menu has a creative twist on many favourite dishes and the latte is amazing. Note: no decaffeinated coffee available.

Esme Zárate: The place is comfortable, the dishes are well served, the coffee is extremely good, the waiters are friendly but they kept forgetting things and getting orders mixed up. They forgot to give us the forks and knives, sugar, then they forgot one of the orders, and they got one of the dishes wrong, but we took it anyways. Everything was really good they can just improve the attention to detail while servicing. Great place overall.

Matt J: The coffee here is delicious. I had the flat white and my partner had the long black. The food is also very good! The ambience is on point; we sat on the front terrace and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. They have a delightful case of pastries and the staff was more than attentive and even remembered our order from the last time we visited.

Joshua Lolling: Best breakfast and coffee I had on my trip here. I will definitely be back!

Rodrigo Maceda: These guys have the perfect antidote if you happen to be a little bit damaged after having their great cocktails and Mexican spirits in their bar, Gallo Altanero (upstairs). Speciality coffee + great breakfasts. Aussie and Mexican love delivered in each plate and cup. Excellent service!

Lola Kochieva: My favorite coffee shop in Guadalajara😍. During my stay in Guadalajara I went to this place every day, because the atmosphere is nice, the waiters are cute and polite, the music is quite enough for comfortable working and the matcha is the best matcha I have tried in Mexico😋

Gaby L: Excellent food and coffee as always!...and I love the place is pet friendly!!! This is one of my favorite places to take my dog. All the staff is very nice and kind with my pooch. I love it! Always a very pleasant experience.

Antonia Matisic: Had an amazing breakfast here, bagel and strawberry smoothie! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Would defenetly recommend this place if you want something super nice and quick to eat.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Eamon O'Connor: Coffee wasnt great but drinkable. Milk jello was nice. Also they were open on new years day unlike a lot of coffee shops so that was cool. I am not very familar with them but it appears they are a coffee chain in Guadalajara.

Michnus Olivier: Not bad, good atmosphere much like a Starbucks just way better. Bit on the expensive side but you get good quality coffee

Dorman Land: Good place for coffee. It has more of a chain feel. The atmosphere is pretty normal not a unique experience. The coffee is good.

Briana Hernandez: Went when it wasn’t as busy as people have experienced so it was a pleasant surprise! Cheaper than Starbucks and really tasty options. I love the croissant with jam and Philadelphia and the “Black Nut” Frappuccino. It also helped that they have a new promo going on selling 2 x 1 drinks of the same or lesser size!

Oscar Neuman: I love coffee. I love black coffee. I love art. "Black Coffee Gallery" - I cannot think of a store where I would rather be! The coffee is good, the location is convenient, the staff is friendly and the art is nice. And you can buy an inexpensive re-usable coffee tumbler with a lid. Wow!

Frank Moeding: Nice place, good location. Good sandwiches and pastry. Relaxed atmosphere, spacious but noisy terrace. Interesting artwork. Only the coffee could be better. 😊

Marcin Zioło: Coffee is usually overheated and burnt. They have a large menu but most of the coffees come as white americano or coffee with milk cause baristas are not trained I am afraid :(

Anthony Intini III: In my esimation better than Starbucks. Coffee had no acidlty. Deserts and sandwich was outstanding. Fresh and well presentation.

Giovanni P: Nice place to cool down and relax. Service was quick but prices were a little high in my opinion. 87 pesos for a Frappuccino is a little too much, especially when coming with a family of 4 (~350 pesos) but most American brands are pricey in Mexico.

Fabian Sandoval: I am a casual customer but when I go the quality of the product goes up or down, when it goes up it is a very delicious flavor, but when it goes down it is very tasteless but in general the place is very friendly and they serve you very quickly even though there are many people.

Lupe Grajeda: Very friendly, professional and got the orders out quickly.

Libni Mora: They are often out of something... But overall good.

Cesar Rodriguez: Drinks made right... I just cant get over the tiny venti and the no trenta option for teas and refreshers. Conveniently centered from other attractions.

Martin Martinez: This Starbucks is near a garden. It’s Starbucks all around; modern design with WiFi and amenities. The cafe is really busy, but the baristas are fast and made the drinks within minutes of ordering and the drinks were accurate as ordered. I sometimes have trouble ordering my drinks in Spanish, but the nadita here understood when I said it in English. I feel comfortable when they understand English, or are able to work with my not-so-proficient spanish. Thanks Starbs crew!

March Garcia: place is too small and crowded, it is in the tourist area thoughParking: no parkingService: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 2/5 …More

Mara K: Nice restaurant, we ate breakfast there on Sunday. They got a lot of things to choose from, and the coffee is great. Prices are totally fine. The Chilaquiles could use a little more salsa. We had to wait quite long for our coffees and food. But the rest was nice, the food was also tasty.

Sabrina Nachbaur: Really nice place with good food and coffee.

Andri: Nice place , tasty enchiladas verdes .

Alejandra Castellanos: Freshly baked in house bread, hot coffee and delicious food yummy

Nicolas Lantoing: Great place, nice prices, super friendly staff and probably some of the best enmoladas I ever had!

Melissa Sacz: Good food. My favorite coffee is Amareto Latte, so good.

Emmanuel Meneses: Good place, but electric connection does not work properly.

Roberto “Taco_of_Death” Carlos: The place is beautiful and the coffee is good.

Brandon Camberos: Wen café

Wendy Montaño: My experience was good, clean place with air conditioning, they treated me very well, I went at noon, slightly crowded and the latte was good, it was not bad although nothing special. Friday. July. 2pm P.S. At the outside tables I was bitten by mosquitoes so I went inside to the tables. I would suggest having established music or suitable for cafeterias, not popular music or to the taste of the staff on duty.

Faby Fischer: Excellent service from the barista Sergio Islas, he treats customers in general very well and he explains the menu to the elderly very well and treats them very well! Congratulations!

Miguel Ochoa Hernández: One of the few specialty coffees in the city! And definitely one of the best places to enjoy a really good cup of coffee or you can either drink the coffee there or buy a bag to enjoy it at home. The place offers a wide variety of coffee preparations to fit everyone preferences and finally, they have single origin specialty Mexican coffee and you can buy the whole beans or ground coffee bags.

Maroosh De: This place is great for that perfect cup of coffee. Brewed in all possible ways. They have in-house roasters and lots of knowledge. I recommend.

Jorge: excellent knowledge of coffee proceedures and qualities. If you can, ask for a lecture about coffee. They only serve premium certified grains.

Andy Krull: The americano here is delicious and served at a perfect drinkable temperature. Definitely the best cafe in the area and the prices are more fair than the bland chain store a block away.

Kurt Schenk: Best coffee in town. Fair prices to the growers. Perfection costs a little more, but it’s worth it!

: This place... god, this is a gem! So simple, yet so good. They are attentive to every single detail and are very thoughtful of the process and of the place itself. I found this out passing by and I am glad I did. I totally recommend it!

Sean Edgley: Nice girl working here. She helped me to select beans and ground them for me. Tasty coffee from Chiapas. Muchas gracias!

Braulio G. Zenteno: The Best Coffee Shop in Guadalajara!!!The taste on every of their coffee variety is excellent and different, don’t waste on buying commercial coffee beans on the supermarket, spend on a great roast and you will start your days better while supporting local producers.

D R: Excellent espresso and cappuccino. Purchased coffee beans and had them ground for my brewing method. Very attentive service.

Vicky Hughes: They have a La Mazocco espresso machine so you know you won’t be disappointed. Holidaying in GDL I was thrilled to find this hidden gem (look up) a three minute walk from where I was staying to grab a morning coffee. Delicious, modern takes on local fare. The chefs and baristas are having fun making good food/drink for their customers. Very attentive service.

Anuar Ramirez: Really good quality food. The Chilaquiles were out if this world. Coffee also done really well. During the week a great space to work. Weekends much busier.

juliane Siegel: This is a very sweet coffeeshop with very nice staff (for those who don’t speak Spanish, they speak English too!) and some really great, delicious breakfast. The coffee is really good too. :) very nice interior design and choice of dishes! Gracias :)

Child Li: Love the cosy environment although it’s a hidden upstairs cafe so it’s kinda tricky to find it at first haha. Plants are everywhere which makes me feel more relaxing. Ordered an americano with honey and they added extra for me😋 Such a nice place to start off your morning!

Andri: Chilaquiles Maya - my choice .Cute place , tasty coffee .+pet friendly .

Natallia Houzich: The place is simply amazing and super cozy. We came for breakfast but wanted to stay for lunch too, so comfortable and relaxed the atmosphere is. Coffee is one of the best in the city, the food is also great and made of good quality products. I will definitely come back!

Alberto Simon: Really tasty brewed coffee with v60 and nice breakfast options

Urbano Castillo: Nice area in the middle of the mall and only place to sit inside, coffee not fresh as usual but it doesn’t taste like H2O Aqua

Jeff Cochran: The good thing with starbucks isnt so much the coffee which is decent. But its one of the few coffee shops where you can sut comfortably and work or study. Plenty of space here.

Manuel Velazquez: another starbucks in another mall, not much to say, except the cool thing about this one is you get to see that they close with a really small "door" it looks kind of funny

urbano nomad: Only place to sit in mall coffee could be a little more better

Jaime Dominguez: Once Again, too long of a wait, the prices keep going up and service goes out the window. Too Sad

Jorge Gomez: Good location for a SB, good for quick meetings or prior a movie in the theater.

Robert Banks: Free WiFi when mine goes out at home.

Alejandro Castro: Pet friendly

Denise Lopez: Nicee!
