Mayra Obregon: The place is relatively central to the city, walking to the surrounding squares you arrive in approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The service is excellent, it has a kitchen, they have a terrace, they have bathrooms apart from the ones in the room, they have tourist guides at the entrance, the place is quiet and quite cozy, the beds are wide and the price is affordable.
Rhiannon O'Reilly: We visited two other hostels in Guadalajara before thankfully finding this place. The dorms beds are HUGE. It’s sparkling clean throughout the building and especially in the kitchen. They’ve got free filtered water and a cold water dispenser. The roof is the main attraction of course. It’s a sun trap trap from sunrise to sunset. Someone has taken a lot of time on the plants up there, and everything is made from recycled materials. It’s a quieter hostel, so wouldn’t recommend for a solo traveller trying to make friends. It’s perfect to get some R&R, and it’s good value for money. It’s exactly what we were looking for.

John C: I was only planning on staying for one night here and ended up staying here for 14 days in April 2022. I checked out of the Hilton due to the lack of sleep from how loud it was nearby all night and a staff member suggested this place. Pay in person for heavy discount he said and he was correct ;)I feel I have a true a recent relevant experience of this place. Some reviews say the staff are unfriendly and this NOT TRUE! (Maybe old staff?) The man working reception gave me an introduction to the place upon checking in and it was better than The Hilton’s. He took his time explaining the hostels kitchen, private rooftop terrace, fresh filtered water station(HUGE money saver), the showers looked clean, as were the sheets. They have EXCELLENT maps inside with pictures : descriptions. I’ve been across the world. And I think I’m done with expensive over-rated hotels. He offered several room options to me. This place is 3 floors and BIG. I decided to get a private room and came home to a fresh made bed everyday. One day I left and ran back forgetting something and the lady was giving her all scrubbing the walls, mopping the floor and obviously giving good care to my belongings.They offer laundry service and somehow got rid of a stains that I’d had on certain dress shirts and shorts for months.. how was that even possible…Not sure if I’m forgetting much but I nearly never review but this place in its current state deserves 5 stars, if you want a quiet super central area to many bars and wonderful restaurants you can really get deep into the Guadalajara culture from here.Ooooh they offer TONS OF TOURS that pick you up directly from outside the door

Norman Cardoze: I found the attention they give you incredible and that they make you feel in your own home.They make you feel very good, everything is super comfortable and the location couldn't be better, one block from the cathedral.
Adhat Campos: The hostel has GREAT potential. It's just sloppy. What bothered me the most was the security of the place. The volunteers do not make sure that you are really staying in the hostel. There are no bracelets, nor any type of identification. I arrived at 11 PM and they opened for me and they didn't know who was coming in. Anyone can pretend to stay there, enter the rooms, etc.Also if the bathrooms, especially the showers, had more privacy with the gates. The experience would be very different. It is very uncomfortable to feel that someone can spy on you while you bathe, especially if they want to go to the toilet.The location of the property is great. The quality and size of my bed was VERY good. It has been the best bed I have had in a hostel. And I have traveled a lot. That was the best part of having tried Free Spirit.

ANGELES DE HIERRO MÉXICO MC: Apparently they did not take enough time to clean the room and in the bathroom there were remains of things from previous guests...The staff is very friendly.
Antonio Cimota: Well, I stayed here 4 nights. The location was perfect because it was very close to bars, restaurants, and shops. The place was very clean however they were going thru some kind of remodeling so it was understandable that parts of the place had construction material just laying around in open areas. Unfortunately I was asked for an addtl deposit for my room key and a shower towel separately from what I had already paid. I lost my room key and since a deposit was left I thoughy they'd give me another but they didn't, so inconveniently had to keep asking staff to open my dorm room for the remaining 2-3 days until my departure. The cafe shop was ok- pricing was good but had no taste, food was bland.Rooms: Rooms were very clean, but no A/C just fans.Nearby activities: Staff makes it interesting by organizing activities for visitors.Safety: Very safe, must use card key to enter premises.Walkability: Very centrally located to many places of interest nearby.Food & drinks: The coffee shop inside is ok, but taste was bland.

Rooms were really well kitted out and the kitchen on the rooftop was really useful.There is a cafe which serves coffee and breakfast downstairs too.Highly recommend this hostel. James Brown: Had a great stay at Bohostel. We had a private room with en suite and it was great value for money. The hostel has nice common areas, the rooftop and the cafe, which came in useful as we did a lot of hanging around after checkout before our bus. The location is also excellent, very close to Av Chapultepec for all the bars and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Minor feedback was that it would be useful to have some hangers in the room for shirts, and that the shower head needed a good clean as it was calcified.
Alex Martinez: If you are looking for a hostel in Guadalajara, do not hesitate to come to this one. It feels new, the staff is friendly and they take care of keeping the place clean every day. The facilities are quite good, it has everything I can ask of a hostel. It has a rooftop where you can relax or have a little party, it also has a cafeteria and if you are a guest you will get a discount. The bathrooms and showers are fine, and the dormitories have a light, fan, and curtains to give you a little more privacy in shared rooms. As for socializing and parties, I think it will depend a bit on when you stay and the people you meet. In any case, every week the staff is in charge of preparing different events in order to get to know each other among the guests.

Dian Cc: It is a noisy place, and very late at night the music from the adjoining restaurants stops listening, my room smelled of potatoes all the time since the smell entered the room for the same reason. There is no climate and the fans are insufficient. I thought that at breakfast there would be coffee or tea, but there was only hot water. If the place is safe. There are showers with hot water. And there are common areas equipped. Excellent location.
