Judith Sanchez Flores: I quoted a van for 11 passengers from Wednesday to Saturday, they offered me one of 16 due to availability, the price difference increased by $600 approx. I thought it was a good price. The van is quite comfortable, the driver was there the whole time, although my trip was smooth, he was very punctual and kind. What the van lacked was a blue tooth stereo or with an auxiliary connection and the air conditioning did not reach the back seats.

Peter B.: I would recommend Derby rental car even though they are in the city and not at the airport. We rented over the Thanksgiving holiday in November 2022. They had a driver waiting to pick us up at the airport when we arrived. The car was in an airport parking lot waiting for us. So that part was great. I communicated in email with Jaime at Derby several times before we arrived to ensure our car would be ready to confirm the total prices of our reservation was all we would pay. To my surprise and my delight, there was absolutely no demands from Derby that we buy more insurance or pay a higher rate when we got the car. We've experience these unpleasant surprises with nearly all other rental car companies in Mexico and do not appreciate how they do business. But Derby did not do that to us, so my thanks to their management. The car we got was obviously not "new", but it was in OK condition. Just be sure you inspect all damages and have them marked on their "condition" sheet when you get your car. We didn't have any unexpected problems when we turned the car in. All went smoothly. The only complaint I would have is that this car had about 60,000 miles on it and the tires were very worn. I'm assuming the tires were the original ones. Derby needs to put new tires on their cars every 40,000 miles or so.

Ayax Ron-Carr: Unfortunately I was not able to use your service. I wanted to try this company and there was bad communication and we were left without a car. On their page you make a request to reserve and they are supposed to contact you to confirm the car. As there was no communication, we talked and they had already canceled our request and there was no longer any car available. It was our mistake not to have contacted them soon after the request, but their way of operating did not leave a good taste in our mouths, which I think is better in other companies where everything is handled electronically and is not based on them calling you or you call them I see another comment from a Jorge client that something similar happened to him, they canceled his reservation and they never contacted him, nor did they send him an email to let him know that they no longer had a car. I tried to explain this because I wanted to give them feedback and they just told me to go to another company. There is no way to know if they really called, we have no missed calls, and apparently they do not send an email to indicate that our request was simply not going to be honored and it was cancelled. When talking to them and explaining the situation, it seemed to me that they did not want to take responsibility since there was no confirmation and they could not help us. If they offered me some recommendations and at the end an apology for the misunderstanding, they also kindly offered me to give the service in the future with a discount. I hope to be able to use them in the future and be able to change this review, but for now I'll leave it as is.

Renting a car can be frustrating because of all the upsale most rental places want to do for insurances and extra services and add fear mongering and high deductibles and high deposits just to rent a vehicle. This place gave me the best prices within a metropolitan area. They didn't try and upsell the insurance. They were upfront with what the insurance covered miles/km on the vehicle. The pricing and the flexibility if I was an hour or so late.Jaime was cool and collected and when he offered VEHICLE DROPOFF at my location that was the highlight. I immediately booked with him the 15 person van and set aside a second rental once that one was over. They called me once they were in the area to hand over on both vehicle both time. They were within minutes of our set time. Bravo Derby Team... De verdad que se la rifan bien chido en obtener clientes. Y por seguro ya van a tener otro cliente leal. The mandatory minimum liability coverage is already included in the rental rate. They just love to cheat foreigners with unnecessary additional insurance. Just got to Mex Rent A Car - they will allow you to use your own insurance.

Tony Diaz: DO NOT rent here. We pointed out some issues with the car we were renting during the inspection- one of which was the back tire. They said it’s been inspected and is fine. One day later we have to fill the tire with air. The tire kept leaking - so we called the number they said to call for any issues with the car. We were told for an extra cost- they could bring us a different car. We paid for extra insurance with our rental so there should not have been any charge at all. When we refused to pay an additional $100 (US dollars) they said we could get it fixed ourselves and pay for it at a shop. So basically- no assistance available at all. They do not rent safe cars, and expect the renters to pay to fix them.
MARTIN VAZQUEZ: Terrible service, they ask you for prepayment to insure your car, they ask you for a reception schedule for it, they will confirm it via email and it turns out that they forget to inform you that at that time that you indicated, IT IS ALREADY CLOSED, and still in attention to Clients tell you that you have to wait but they don't know how long for someone to want to come to deliver the vehicle to you, and since you already had it paid for, there's no way to say no.

Guillermo Lara: Worst service ever and experience ever. They front desk services spends hours trying to sell you unnecessary insurance by fear and intimidation tactics. They pretend to make calls on their personal cellphones to upper management and when you ask to talk to them, they just bluntly ignore you. After returning the rental vehicle, I found additional charges on my credit card for services I never authorize. The whole experience was a nightmare. Avoid this location at all cost. They will try to hassle you at every opportunity.

I called 2 times before to make sure my rental care was there & Payless Confirmed but when i got there, the staff named LUCIO ARANDA was mad that one one told him because he only had one car left. We eve had to walk miles in the middle of the night because their office inside the airport was closed...really? Anyways, he didn't have a copy machine to make copies of the agreement form & LIED to me saying for only $50, I would get additional car insurance so I said okay. He asked for me to sign saying the car is fine WITHOUT seeing it but luckily, my boyfriend realized what was going on & said no until we see it first. When we dropped of the rental car, he told me he charged me $450 extra so I didn't sign the receipt but they still charged it on my credit card! WHAT? I asked to speak to his manager named JOSE CAMARENA & he wasn't there so he called him over the phone & when I explained it to the manager that I didn't agree to pay that much, he said oh well. No one spoke English! Payless told me someone had to speak English & have the contract form in English! I have been calling Payless for the last 6 months (maybe 25 times already) & every single staff does not know who I can speak with. I have even been asked to email documents/proof and no one has emailed me back. I am sick & tired of being ignored. I have been manipulated! This is not fair & affecting me emotionally and mentally. So much anxiety, anger, sadness, & hate. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU WILL SAVE MONEY COMPARED TO OTHER RENTAL COMPANIES, DO NOT DO IT!

Nash Kabbara: The car I was given was in terrible shape. Service and employees are good. I wouldn’t go back because of vehicle quality.
Antonio Jaime: They have no cancellations, refunds, nothing. Lots of additional fees.I asked them how much they were going to charge as a guarantee for WhatsApp, they gave me a figure. When I arrived they gave me a figure more than double what they had told me.
Icela Vazquez: Europcar did not honor the car insurance purchase on Expedia. They said that the insurance purchase on Expedia was not valid. They will not release the car unless I make a deposit of the total value of the car or purchase their insurance (which was way more expensive than the one I had already purchased) and they requested $1000 deposit. I called Expedia customer service and they told me that the insurance is valid and they should accept the policy. When the Expedia representative tried calling Europcar, the employee at the front desk picked up the phone, but they hang up on the representative. The Expedia representative said that he called three other times, but they did not pick up the phone. We were at the front desk and saw when the employee hung up the phone. We told them that Expedia is trying to reach out to them, but they said that they have not received call from them, even though we saw them pick up and hung the phone. Since the Europcar employees refused to talk to Expedia, we had no choice but to get their insurance so they can release the car to us. They were also haggling the price of the policy. Another red flag. We were definitely scam and had an unexpected expense thanks to Europcar. Not the way we wanted to start our vacation. Never using them again.
Yaneth Velázquez Faudoa: Terrible service and attention. They ask you to arrive early and then tell you that "the system" changed your reservation. Despite the fact that one shows the papers, they do not provide an answer and do not solve either.
